Bob's Goof Proof® serviced by Guardian covers you for 5 full years for all stains and most accidental and unexpected damage that occur from a single incident.

Fabric, Leather and Vinyl Furniture
Accidental rips, cuts, burns, and motor breakage:
Rips, cuts, and punctures (unintentional damages from items such as pens, scissors, and knives)
Burns (such as cigarette, e-cigarette and irons)
Breakage or breakdown of damage of frames, springs, & sleeper, reclining, inclining, heating, and vibrating mechanisms (including motors, levers, connectors, handles, pull cords & remote-control components). Breakdown is covered after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired.
Breakdown of electronic components (such as cords, USB charging ports, & internal lighting). Breakdown is covered after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired.
All stains (except caustic and corrosive materials):
Food & beverage stains (such as wine, juice, baby formula).
Cosmetics stains (such as makeup, nail polish, nail polish remover, lipstick and body lotions).
Bodily fluids from humans and pets.
Ink, marker, and crayon stains.
Grease, shoe polish, and grass & gum stains.
Wood & Hard Surface Furniture
All stains (except caustic and corrosive substances)
Gouge, heat mark or any liquid ring
Chip, scratch, or breakage of glass, mirror components and loss of silvering on mirrors
Breakage or damage to wood or another hard surface
Breakdown of wood & hard-surface furniture (including failure of mechanisms, motors, levers, drawer glides, tracks, & handles). Breakdown is covered after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired.
Breakdown of electronic components (such as cords, USB charging ports, & internal lighting). Breakdown is covered after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired.
Outdoor Furniture
All stains, rips, cuts, punctures, or burns to fabric or vinyl upholstered areas & umbrellas
Breakage of glass on outdoor tables
Breakage and breakdowns of frames and mechanisms, including structural defects to metal frames, such as warping and frame breakage/cracking, and separation of frame components. Breakdown is covered after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired.
Breakdown of umbrella or umbrella mechanism. Breakdown is covered after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired.
Area Rugs
Food & beverage stains.
Cosmetic stains.
Bodily fluids from humans and pets.
Ink, marker, & crayon stains.
Grease, shoe polish, and grass & gum stains.
Lamps
All stains (except caustic and corrosive substances).
Tears to lamp shades.
Breakage of lamp.

Here are a few exceptions that are not covered
Certain stains, odors, and general wear & tear:
Stains from corrosive materials that erode or strip the finish or color.
Stains that build up over time (such as dirt or general soiling).
Fading or discoloration that happens over time (such as from hair products).
Odors resulting from stains.
Damage to fireplace inserts, seam separation, cracking & peeling of leather, & loss of foam resiliency.
Issues caused by misuse or the manufacturer:
Damage from misuse (such as jumping on furniture).
Defects not covered by Bob’s 1 Year Guarantee.
Damage covered by homeowners or renters’ insurance or contractors working on your home.
Scratches.
Animal or pet damages (such as damage caused by beaks, claws, or jaws).
General dirt on rugs and burns on lamps.
Terms for Bob's Goof Proof® serviced by Guardian
All claims must be reported within 30 days of the incident. Some exclusions apply. See protection plan terms and conditions for details.
A copy of the plan is available for review at a Bob’s store. You’ll receive a copy of your protection plan documents via the email address that you provided at the time of purchase. If you have any questions, please contact Guardian at (800) 538-9500.

What is considered an accident?
An accident is a single incident that leads to a stain or damage. For example, if you hit the leg of your dining room table with the vacuum, and it leaves a gouge. Damage that has occurred over a period of time and not reported is considered accumulation and will not be covered.
How do I know if my issue is eligible for repair under warranty or Goof Proof®?
Our trained online support and in-home service teams will evaluate your issue, often requesting photos and detailed descriptions to help determine the best course of action.
What if I damage my furniture and didn’t purchase a Goof Proof® Protection Plan?
If your furniture has been damaged and is no longer covered under warranty, we may still be able to assist you. For a fee (if within Bob’s service area), we can schedule a service technician to visit your home and inspect the damage.
During the service appointment, the technician will attempt to repair the damage. If any parts are required, you can order them, and once they arrive, we can arrange for a technician to install them. To request service, please call or text Customer Support.
Can I purchase a new Goof Proof® plan for my replacement piece?
Absolutely! If a piece needs to be replaced through Goof Proof®, you can purchase a new 5-year Goof Proof® plan for the replacement item. If you need assistance with purchasing Goof Proof for your new piece, feel free to contact the Bob's Squad at 860-812-1111.
How Do I File a Goof Proof® Claim?
If a covered incident occurs, you can file a claim through the Goof Proof® portal here or by calling Guardian at 800-538-9500. The process is straightforward, and once your claim is received, a representative will guide you through the steps needed to restore your furniture.
What happens if my furniture has to be replaced?
Replacement will occur if a covered stain or damage cannot be restored to factory standards under your Goof Proof® Plan.
If a replacement is necessary, it will be provided at no cost to you—there’s no depreciation or pro-rating of the value, and you won’t even pay for delivery of the new item.
Once a piece is replaced, the Goof Proof® contract for that item is considered fulfilled. The new item will come with Bob’s standard one-year guarantee against factory defects, and you’ll have the option to purchase Bob’s Goof Proof® coverage for your new item.
What happens to my Goof Proof® coverage if I move to an area outside of Bob's service area?
One of the great benefits of Bob's partnership with Guardian and Uniters is that they are a nationwide company, with service technicians available in all 50 states. This means you’ll have coverage anywhere in the U.S. if you purchase Goof Proof®! However, if you move outside of Bob's operational area (which continues to expand each year), we may not be able to provide coverage for defects in materials or workmanship.
What if my Goof Proof® Protection Plan claim is denied, and I’d like to file a dispute?

We understand that our customers want the best coverage at the best price. To offer great value, Goof Proof® covers the most common incidents that can happen in your home, all at an affordable price.
How do I know if I’ve already purchased a Goof Proof® Protection Plan for my furniture?
You can easily confirm if you've added Goof Proof® to your items in one of two ways:
Check your online account. Each item will indicate whether Goof Proof® was purchased.
Review your order invoice. In the ‘Goof Proof®’ column, look for the word ‘Accepted’ next to each item to confirm if the Goof Proof Protection Plan has been applied.
Can I purchase Goof Proof® for commercial property?
Bob's Goof Proof® is exclusively available for private, residential purchases. If the furniture is intended for commercial use, it is not eligible for Goof Proof® protection.
Examples of commercial use include, but are not limited to:
A rental property (house or apartment)
An office space
A government building
Can I purchase Goof Proof® for my mattress?
Goof Proof® is only available for furniture items. To protect your mattress, we recommend one of Bob's Goof Proof® Mattress Protectors.
